Even though this song has been commissioned by and earmarked for Bjørn Wenner, “The German Robbie” (Bjørn played the lead in the video of Robbie William's track Something Beautiful) the track is available to be covered by other artists and bands. Usually, when I work with Peter Baker, I write lyrics to Peter's melodies, however Bjørn commissioned two songs about his experiences making the Robbie Williams video... so the lyrics to this track and "Rising Star" were penned by myself, Chris Breen, first.

If you’re after songs about specific subjects and you'd like an English lyricist to work on them for you, then please just email Chris at info@lyrico.co.uk and give me your details and a brief!

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!

INTRO
“Lights… Camera…. Action!”
“Lights! Camera! Action!”… “Lights! Camera! Action!” - Woooh!
“Lights! Camera! Action!”… “Lights! Camera! Action!” – Here we go! Woooh!

VERSE 1
I’ve spent so long waiting in the wings
Waiting for my future and the action to begin
Waiting for a phone call, waiting for a break
Always believing that belief’s no mistake

And then it all happened
A call came out of the blue
Like a video in fast forward
Quickly dreams are coming true

CHORUS
“Lights! Camera! Action!” – It’s like I suddenly feel alive
“Lights! Camera! Action!” – For now my life’s in overdrive
“Lights! Camera! Action!” – This is it! The start… of playing the leading part

VERSE 2
And now I fly, free from my old cage
Playing the pretender, by pretending it’s my stage
But this understudy’s gonna be the star
Gonna be leaving in a chauffeur-driven car

One day it’ll happen
I’ll trade this stage for the charts
With my wings so far behind me
Like an arrow hits the mark

CHORUS

MIDDLE EIGHT
Though I’m here under lights living other people’s dreams
This chance in a million’s gonna be the opening scene
One day I’m gonna be there, walking in those shoes
And I’ll call the shots, and give someone else the dreamed of news…

Lights… Camera…. Action! Lights… Camera…. Action!

One day it’ll happen - I’ll trade this stage for the charts
With my wings so far behind me - Like an arrow hits the mark

CHORUSES TO END
“Lights! Camera! Action!” – It’s like I suddenly feel alive
“Lights! Camera! Action!” – For now my life’s in overdrive
“Lights! Camera! Action!” – This is it! The start… of playing the leading part
