Even though this song has been commissioned by and earmarked for Bjørn Wenner, “The German Robbie” (Bjørn played the lead in the video of Robbie William's track Something Beautiful) the track is available to be covered by other artists and bands. Usually, when I work with Peter Baker, I write lyrics to Peter's melodies, however Bjørn commissioned two songs about his experiences making the Robbie Williams video... so the lyrics to this track and "Lights, Camera, Action!" were penned by me (Chris Breen) first.

If you’re after songs about specific subjects and you'd like an English lyricist to work on them for you, then please just email Chris at info@lyrico.co.uk and give me your details and a brief!

RISING STAR

Verse1
Hey, you may say I’m a dreamer
An actor playing the part
But let me say it like it is
A start is just a start

For even your big heroes
Who fill the silver screen
Were queuing at the movies
When the part was just a dream

Bridge 1
‘Cause if something beautiful’s
The only thing you’ve seen
Well, I’m not sitting in the stalls
I’m gonna steal the scene

Chorus
I’m a rising star - Gonna’ light the sky
Blaze a comet trail - Million miles wide
‘Cause this rising star - Has his voice and dreams
I’m a born winner - I’m a rising star

Verse 2
Hey, don’t get me wrong I’m grateful
For my lucky break at the start
But when you say I’m not like him
I wanna play my part

For even your big heroes
Who fill the concert halls
Were jammin' in the backstreets
Before their posters were on the walls

Bridge 2
‘Cause I’m something different
From the image that you’ve seen
‘Cause I’m not sitting in the stalls
Livin’ someone else’s dream

Chorus
I’m a rising star…

Middle Eight
But for most of us it’s just a dream
A million wannabes for every scene
But now I’ve had the chance to play the lead
I’ll rocket out of here – breaking free

Chorus
I’m a rising…
I’m a rising…
I’m a rising star - Gonna’ light the sky
Blaze a comet trail - Million miles wide
‘Cause this rising star - Has his voice and dreams
I’m Bjørn Wenner – I’m a rising star! I’m a rising star… I’m a rising star…
