Reviews of Sundance Songs Producer Decibelle
Adam Gainsborough: Slackshot
Loving this release from Zer0 (and Decibelle!). The beats in both tracks are really crisp and the sound amazing on a large system. One of the best releases on Streetwise in my opinion.
Adam Hudson: Producer - Annie Nightingale
U r on fire! That is a MONSTER, what a tune. Made my nite that 1!
Andi Durrant: Riley & Durrant / Galaxy
Played on last weeks show - nice sound of the underground!
Andy Gardner: Plump DJs / Fingerlickin
I like Acid Queenz - solid dancefloor fodder.
Andy D: MOS Radio
Charted at 24, will be shootin higher, had it since last year so didn't want to make too much of a fuss over it as I know what the boys at Streetwise are like (Eh Vig ;)) Great tune, the Acid Queen really does it for me and I've seen dance floors erupt to this, the flip has a mean moving bass line that you just can't help but move to.
Ann D: Headcharge
Top floor action from Streetwise. Both sides working large & Alison David's vocals are superb.
Clive Morley
Both these tracks are cool and I really like the 2nd mix. Loving those snares and it's got all the same energy and production qualities too. Played at Fabric and Platform 12 to great affect. Chart # 4
Dan Gilbert: Dan Massive / Massive Records(Birmingham)
Oooo, liking this a lot. I haven't been feeling Streetwise's output as much as I think I should be recently, but this definitely redresses the balance. An excellent release with both sides doin' the do for me!
Darren Pearce: JDS / TCR
Really like both sides on this one. Will decide when I'm playing out which one I use the most
Dave Jenkins: IDJ
Yeah, this rocks nice and hard.... already dropped it out and it works a treat. Will be getting a review in the April issue (out mid March).
Geoff Ticehurst: The Plug
Anything that comes out of Cambridge is obviously going to be great and this keeps up the high standards! Acid Queenz is a monster, and that is one twisted up synth line! Largeness.
George Mac: Basstrap / Edinburgh
These tracks are lovely! Streetwise on fire again. Super solid production and both tracks have a real edge. Both do the do! Thanks.
James Cocozza: Jhz / Roxilla
Acid Queenz is a top tune. Full of energy, would have liked to hear the vocal version of the flip.
Justin McMullen: Commie
Finally, a nice bit of chuggy tech breaks to play rather than pseudo rave nonsense. Acid Queenz is a belter :)
Mark East: Deep Impact / Broke Recordings
Top stuff from ZerO & Decibelle, I've been playing this one quite a lot and it gets a wicked response every time. I'm doing an American tour in a weeks time and this one is definitely in the bag of trix. 8/10
Ollie Lewis Supercharged / Break Yourself (Totally Radio)
Really like this! Driving and techy and sounds wicked on a big system. Number 5 in my chart and will be receiving plenty of play on my show.
Paul Crossman: General Midi / Distinctive / TCR / Kilowatt
One of my favourite labels - this again proves that! Acid Queen is grubbier than a week without a bath and Make It is an anthem in the making. Gonna b playing both of these till they wear out!! 8/10
Stefano Miele: Madox / Mantra
Acid Queenz does the beez for me, top tune!
Tane Page
The Zero and Decibelle release is also really strong, more my kind of style of breaks - moody but with really funky breaks. I would definitely play the a side out and imagine the builds in this track will be really effective on the floor. Only one way to find out... (shall be playing out both these tracks tonight).
Will Brunner: PMT / 10 Kilo y
Acid Queenz is a monster. Playing lots. Thanks.
